SHARLENE DENG IS A CHINESE–AMERICAN MULTIDISCIPLINARY DESIGNER, ART DIRECTOR, & ARTIST OFFERING VISUAL AND TYPE-DRIVEN CREATIVE SERVICES. SHE IS BASED IN NEW YORK CITY AND HOLDS A BFA IN GRAPHIC DESIGN FROM THE RHODE ISLAND SCHOOL OF DESIGN. HER EXPERIENCE WORKING AT BOTH STUDIOS AND IN-HOUSE ALLOWS HER TO DESIGN WITH CURIOSITY, JOY, AND INTENTIONALITY. CURRENTLY, SHE IS OPERATING AS A FREELANCE DESIGNER.



(Creative Approach)

Driven by a passion for print and editorial design, Sharlene’s practice is experimental and multidisciplinary, marked by an iterative process that harmoniously blends simplicity with complexity, functionalism with ornamentalism. Challenging conventional notions of graphic design, she explores various mediums and modes of creation. Her goal is to generate meaningful visual and experiential solutions that push culture forward. Her work is radical and dynamic, never the same, yet always staying true to herself.
