Sharlene Deng is a Chinese-American designer and art director currently based in New York. She is currently designing at Zero Studios. She holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. Her creative practice explores bold, maximalist visual systems, blending Chinese visual culture with American irreverence. Through her unconventional design approach, she blends type with image, macro with micro, and digital with physical to create intimate and exploratory works of art and design. Curious and optimistic, Sharlene creates entirely new and boundless visuals starting within established limits—ultimately transforming the world around her.
